Review: Salomon Speedcross 4

I was lucky enough to be 1 of 20 people to be chosen to trial the new Salomon speedcross 4 shoe and being one of the most iconic shoes in trail running I was over the moon.

First impressions: First impressions were great even the box had my twitter handle on! I Received the Green pair and they definitely are GREEN. I will not have any problems being seen. The one thing i will say about them is they look a bit plastic but once they are on they fit well and are comfortable.

On the Trails: The Sensafit and Quicklace systems make the shoe hug your feet for maximum comfort and support which is ideal but does take a little getting use to. Compared to other shoes I have owned they do feel a little bulky at first. Once I hit the trails they really came into there element and are really light. They used the Wet Traction  Contagrip for the sole and this just make them ideal for wet and muddy situations and the claw like grip can take a pounding on the trails. s

All in all these shoes are perfect for long trail runs. The grip is ridiculously good and the best i have used to date. I have listed all the spec here as i know some people love the nitty gritty info on shoes. These will be my go to shoe for long hilly trails races and would be great to hike in also.2016-21-7--14-48-48.pngSpecs:
